For Routes 6 and 7, begin with one Seogwipo base. The current Jeju Olle Foundation list joins the Route 6 finish and Route 7 start at the Jeju Olle Tourist Center.
Rechecked 25 October 2026: Route 6 runs 10.1 km from Soesokkak to Jeju Olle Tourist Center; Route 7 runs 12.9 km from the center to Seogwipo Bus Terminal. The Foundation estimates 3–4 hours for each.
The question here is accommodation: after several hours on foot, do you return to the same room or move the whole luggage system forward? Use where to stay in Seogwipo for the general base decision, Jeju without a car for transport planning, and the Jeju rental-car decision if you have not settled the transport model. This page uses a narrower test for walkers: what does the second hotel key card remove that you would otherwise repeat?
Use a second-base test: the second hotel should remove more than one transfer problem
A hotel move adds checkout, luggage, storage and a second check-in to a walking day. Move only when the new base serves multiple route starts or finishes.
One shorter morning ride rarely pays for a hotel change. Compare the repeated transfers removed with the time spent packing and moving bags.
Why Route 6 + 7 is unusually friendly to a single Seogwipo base
The current route list makes the Tourist Center the handover point between these two days. Recheck temporary detours before departure.
Day one: travel light to Soesokkak, finish Route 6 at the Tourist Center and return to the same room. Day two: start at the center, walk Route 7 to Seogwipo Bus Terminal and plan the ride back.
Route 6 ends and Route 7 begins at the Tourist Center, which makes one Seogwipo base workable across a two- or three-night walking block. After the first stage, shower, dry shoes and clothes, refill water, charge devices, check the trail notice and repack. For a three-night island stay, compare one hotel or two hotels for three nights in Jeju before adding a hotel move.
Do not let the old Oedolgae endpoint turn every coastal landmark into an accommodation anchor
Older Visit Jeju pages describe a different Route 6 endpoint. For the current plan, follow the Jeju Olle Foundation route list and check its notices for temporary changes.
Oedolgae and Route 7’s coastal scenery are worthwhile walking stops. Their presence on a route does not mean your luggage or hotel should move there.

Car-free walkers should separate “where the person goes” from “where the luggage goes”
A car-free walker can still keep a fixed base. Check how the person reaches the trailhead and how the suitcase stays at the hotel.
Moving a walker to the start is one transfer; moving the whole suitcase is another. Compare both before splitting the stay.
If you will walk without a car and carry a large suitcase, use the large-luggage, no-car hotel decision to check the luggage arrangement as well as the trail transfer. A second base earns its place only if it removes a recurring ride or bag handoff; a shorter map distance alone is not enough.
Your real post-walk checklist is a hotel requirement, not an afterthought
After several hours on foot, useful room features include a place to dry shoes, access to food and a reliable return. Confirm each detail for the exact rate.
A resort or pool is not essential for recovery. A practical room close to dinner, supplies and the next route may serve a walking trip better.
Park Sunshine Jeju: construction risk weighs differently for an all-day walker
Park Sunshine Jeju may suit walkers who leave early and return late, limiting time spent at the hotel during the day. The August 2026 renovation notice on Park Sunshine Jeju covers room work, Terrace expansion, Coin Laundry/Fitness additions and parking improvements, with possible noise and access disruption; check whether those conditions affect your dates.
Park Sunshine Jeju’s renovation warning in the linked article is an August 2026 snapshot. Recheck the hotel’s current notice before treating construction as an active condition.
Casaloma Hotel: recovery facilities only matter on the date you can use them
The Casaloma Hotel Seogwipo rooftop heated pool is listed for the announced 2026 season, with specific cleaning closure dates. Compare those dates with your stay and expected return time before counting a post-walk swim as an available facility.
Casaloma’s rooftop pool schedule is date-dependent. Check whether it will be open during the recovery window you can actually use.
Hotel Bridge Seogwipo: a No Parking rate can be a feature, not a defect, for a walker
Hotel Bridge Seogwipo lists standard rates alongside offers labelled “No Parking.” That label may rule out a rate if you will drive; a car-free walker may have no use for parking. Check the exact room, view, breakfast and cancellation terms before comparing totals.
A “No Parking” rate can suit a car-free walker, but confirm the exact room, view, breakfast and cancellation terms before comparing its total price.
For three nights or more, laundry and drying become hard requirements for a walking base
For three or more walking nights, confirm guest access to washing and drying. A facilities-list mention of laundry does not prove self-service machines are available.
Keep the same room when possible and check whether the hotel can hold luggage after checkout if your route ends later than the departure time.
A long walking stay should move in blocks, not follow the trail to a new hotel every night
On longer walks, group routes by their starts and finishes. Re-establishing food, drying and luggage routines at a new hotel every night adds work.
A second base makes sense when it serves at least two consecutive walking days, reduces repeated transfers and avoids another bag move the next morning.
When does the second base finally become worth it?
Look for a route pattern before moving: tonight’s finish and tomorrow’s start should both be closer to the new base.
Do not change hotels just because a later route is farther away. Confirm the next two or three starts and finishes before splitting the stay.
For a walker, move bases only when the next route stages make the change reduce repeated transfers or luggage handling. A driver can load the car between regions; after a long day on foot, packing and checking in add another task to the evening. See where to stay in Jeju for the wider split-stay decision.
Do not book Route 8 or 9 logic from Route 6 + 7 geography
Route numbers do not make every section convenient from one hotel. Reassess the base when several consecutive stages move to another part of Jeju.
Routes and temporary detours can change. The Foundation’s current list still places the two endpoints at the Tourist Center; use its notice for any date-specific change.
Rain changes the walking day before it changes the hotel
Rain may mean shortening a walk or switching days, not changing hotels. Keep the same base useful as a place to rest and dry gear.
Keep the Jeju rainy-day plan alongside the route plan. If wind, heavy rain or local conditions make a stage unsuitable, check whether you can keep the same room and move the walking day before committing to a non-refundable second hotel.
A low nightly rate can cost more if it makes recovery harder
The room rate is only one cost. Add taxis, meals, laundry, luggage handling and the chance of losing a paid facility because you return too late.
A Seogwipo city base can make meals and the next morning easier. A scenic property may be less practical when it adds transfers after a long walk.
A simple two-day Route 6 + 7 plan should feel almost boring at night
For a two-day Route 6 and 7 block, keep the large bag at one hotel and use the route endpoints for the walking sequence.
If changing hotels, decide where the suitcase stays during the walk, when the new room is available and how you retrieve the bag.
Eight questions before you add a second Olle hotel
- What are the current official endpoints for tomorrow and the next day?
- Does a second base remove repeated transfers on more than one walking day?
- Where will the large suitcase stay during the walk and after checkout?
- Are washing and drying available to guests on the selected rate?
- Which confirmed room or facility will you use during the hours you are at the hotel?
- Will the base remain useful if weather changes the route?
- Does the next stage keep moving toward the proposed new base?
- Are route and detour notices current for the walking date?
For Routes 6 and 7 alone, one Seogwipo base is the simplest starting plan: the current route list joins both days at the Olle Tourist Center.
Next decisions
Route data rechecked 25 October 2026 against the Jeju Olle Foundation English route list: Route 6 is 10.1 km, Soesokkak to the Tourist Center; Route 7 is 12.9 km, Tourist Center to Seogwipo Bus Terminal. Both are listed at 3–4 hours. Older Visit Jeju endpoint information is retained as a legacy conflict, not as the current route.
Laundry, drying, luggage storage and same-room availability depend on the selected hotel and rate. Confirm these directly for your dates.
