The Westin Josun Seoul is not a universal “best hotel near Myeongdong.” It works best when your days move between City Hall, Myeongdong, Namdaemun and western Jongno, you expect to return to the room to rest or reset, and you will actually use some hotel time. If you stay only one or two nights, spend most of the trip in Hongdae or Gangnam, or need nothing beyond a comfortable bed, the price and facilities can be more than the itinerary requires.

The Westin Josun Seoul is at 106 Sogong-ro, Jung-gu, between City Hall and central shopping areas. It is a useful base when several days return to this part of Seoul. Hongdae, Jamsil and Gangnam remain separate journeys, so map the actual morning and evening destinations before paying a central-hotel premium.

Check the pool schedule before setting aside time

Marriott currently lists the City Athletic Club from 06:00 to 22:00. Pool maintenance breaks are 11:30–12:30 and 18:00–19:00; the pool closes on the first Monday of each month. On weekends, public holidays, summer peak season and year-end season, pool access is limited to once per day per guest. Children must be at least 36 months to use the pool; fitness and sauna access is for guests aged 16 and older. Check the live notice for your dates because maintenance can change.

Compare the room and club access separately

The hotel lists guest rooms, suites and Westin Club categories. Club access and dining benefits depend on the selected room or eligible membership; do not assume a standard room includes lounge access. For two people out sightseeing all day, bed type and cancellation may matter more than a higher category. If your group uses the hotel midday or keeps different schedules, compare the exact room layout and access conditions.

Airport connections and check-in

The hotel lists check-in at 15:00 and checkout at 12:00. Airport bus 6701 stops in front of the hotel lobby for Incheon Airport; confirm its current timetable and fare before relying on a particular departure. Marriott currently lists an Incheon airport shuttle at KRW 18,000 one way or KRW 36,000 return, with reservation required. Gimpo Airport is listed without a hotel shuttle, so arrange that leg separately. The hotel’s location page also lists Euljiro 1(il)-ga and City Hall metro stations as nearby stations.
