Gimpo City’s Hangang cycling route runs 23.4 km from Ara Marina to Cheolsae Observatory in Seoktan-ri. Decide where you will turn and how riders and bikes return before setting out on the full line.
Choose an endpoint and a return plan
Read the city’s route outline with a current map. Verify the start, signed access, crossings and finish for the section you will ride. The published route length does not confirm that every path edge or facility is open on your date.
If no return is confirmed for both rider and bicycle, use an out-and-back section from an access point with a clear exit. Do not depend on a distant finish if the transport connection or available daylight will not cover the return.
Set a meeting point before splitting the group
Riders and walkers can take different short sections only when they have one agreed meeting place and time. Charge the phone and allow for a slower pace, photo stops and wind along the river. Choose the turn point for the least experienced rider in a family group.
Stay within public riverside access
Follow signs and barriers; operational or controlled river sections are not shortcuts. Check weather, surface and current access notices before leaving. If those conditions affect a safe return, turn back or switch to a shorter public riverside stop.
For the canal rather than the city-described Hangang line, compare the Ara Waterway route.
