Oryukdo and Igidae: Plan the Coast Walk Around Wind and Time

The skywalk is a short stop; the Igidae coastal route is the longer outing. Decide how far to walk before the exposed coast sets the pace.

Busan Geopark lists the Igidae Coastal Walkway at 3.95 km, with an average walking time of about two hours. The route runs from Dongsaengmal Trail through Eoul Madang and Nongbawi Rock to Oryukdo Sunrise Park. Build in extra time for the coast, photos and the return connection.

Set a turnaround point before the trail

The route includes exposed coastal sections. Busan Geopark advises against entering at night. Rain, strong wind or poor footing can change the outing; check the skywalk and trail notices before leaving, and turn back if the conditions no longer suit your group.

If time is limited, visit the Oryukdo Skywalk and Sunrise Park, then walk only the section that fits the daylight and return plan. Do not treat the skywalk visit as the full Igidae route.

Keep the return leg in the plan

Choose the endpoint before starting and confirm the bus or taxi back from that side. The official route sequence is more useful than trying to cover the whole coast at a fixed speed. Shoes, mobility and wind exposure matter more here than the short straight-line distance on a map.
