The Shilla Jeju vs LOTTE HOTEL JEJU: compare the rules your group will use

The Shilla Jeju and LOTTE HOTEL JEJU are both in Jungmun, but the better fit changes with your group’s ages, room count and time at the resort. Shilla’s outdoor Adult Pool is restricted to guests aged 19 and over. LOTTE’s He:on has both an Adult Pool and Family Pool, plus themed rooms whose guest limit can rule them out for a family of four.

Pool access changes the family comparison

At Shilla, two adult guests aged 19+ can use the Adult Pool. Children and adults swimming together should plan around the Family Pool and Indoor Pool; children under 1.3 metres need a life jacket and guardian. The Adult Pool opens 09:00–23:00 and the hotel allows use to 15:00 on checkout day, with arrival by 13:00. Check the current Shilla pool rules.

LOTTE’s He:on runs seasonally by schedule: 09:00–23:00 from May through October and 09:30–22:00 from November through April. The hotel says the outdoor pool is for staying guests and permits use through 15:00 on checkout day. Its He:on page also posts event and operating notices. One date-specific closure currently listed is 24 November 2026 for pool maintenance; check the maintenance notice if your stay overlaps.

For four guests, remove rooms that cannot take all four

LOTTE’s Hello Kitty character rooms are 46.9㎡ Family Twin rooms with a maximum occupancy of three. Premier Garden has configurations for three or four, but the exact inventory must still match the adults and children on the reservation. A theme room that excludes one guest is not a viable family option. Check the hotel’s Hello Kitty room details and current room list.

Shilla’s standard category spans 40㎡ for Standard, Deluxe and Terrace; Premier is 46㎡. Several Deluxe layouts offer family-twin or ondol beds, while the exact maximum occupancy varies by room. Compare beds and permitted occupancy first, then consider the extra floor area. The Shilla room list shows current layouts.

Breakfast and airport transfers

Shilla’s Parkview breakfast buffet runs 07:30–10:30. LOTTE’s La Seine breakfast is listed 07:00–10:30. If the rate includes breakfast, compare the start time with your departure plans; an early tour can make the inclusion less useful. For the airport transfer, Shilla lists bus 601 at roughly 70–90 minutes, every 50 minutes, with airport departures between 06:00 and 21:00. LOTTE’s current 2026 guest-service offer lists a hotel shuttle to the airport at 10:00 and 13:00, and from the airport at 15:00; reservations are required. Cancellation rules can change the cheaper-looking rate

For direct LOTTE reservations, the published standard policy treats April–October and 22–31 December as peak dates: cancel seven days ahead without penalty; from six days to one day before by 18:00, the first night is charged at 30%; after 18:00 on the day before or for a no-show, the first night is charged at 100%. Outside those periods, the free-cancellation deadline is three days ahead, then 20% of the first night applies through 18:00 the day before; later cancellation or no-show is 100%. Which one fits your trip?

Choose Shilla when two adults will use the 19+ pool, or when the specific room layout suits your party better. Choose LOTTE for a family comparing a shared heated-pool stay, a four-person Premier Garden option, or the Hello Kitty theme when three guests or fewer are travelling. For a day-trip-heavy itinerary, price both by the room, breakfast and transfer that you will actually use; a pool schedule cannot make up for spending the whole day elsewhere.
