Seoul Summer Beach 2026: Where to Stay After the Event

Seoul Summer Beach 2026 ran from July 20 to August 9 at Gwanghwamun Square and Sejongno Park. That edition has ended. Its location makes a central hotel easier to assess for a future edition, but the 2026 dates and programme should not be treated as a recurring schedule.

Keep the existing base unless the event changes more than one day

For the next edition, confirm the dates and venue on Visit Seoul’s event page, then compare the event day, evening meal and first destination next morning. If the current hotel serves those three routes, do not move simply to be closer to one afternoon programme.

Use Jongno or Myeongdong only when the surrounding plans fit

Jongno is useful when the event joins a palace, central walk or next-morning plan nearby. Myeongdong can work when dinner, shopping and the hotel return stay on the south side. Neither is automatically the best base for every summer event; the actual hotel entrance and evening route matter more than a district label.

With children, plan for wet clothes and a room break

Water activities can make spare clothes, drying space, a short rest and an early bedtime more useful than adding another attraction. Check the next edition’s age rules, access arrangements, weather notice and operating hours before setting a hotel plan. Keep a nearby indoor alternative and choose a room with enough space for the family’s actual bags.

Price the event night, not an ordinary weekday

Before booking, compare the exact event dates, guest count, beds, room type and cancellation terms. Changing hotels adds checkout, luggage storage and another check-in; it is useful only when the event evening and next morning also shift the trip toward the new base. For property comparisons, use the Seoul hotel shortlist after the area is decided.
