Some Sevit and the Banpo riverfront are separate stops
Visit Seoul describes Sebitseom as four artificial islands with venues, exhibitions and event spaces at 2085-14 Olympic-daero. Individual island businesses set their own opening hours, so check the exact restaurant or programme before crossing town. Banpo Hangang Park adds open river paths and the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain. A fountain schedule is seasonal and can change with weather; do not build a reservation or last-train connection around an old timetable. Confirm the current Banpo Park notice on the day.
Pick one main moment and one optional extension
For a meal or a night photograph, keep the floating-island complex as the anchor and leave the river walk optional. For a longer Banpo evening, set a meeting point and decide how far the group will walk before anyone is tired. Wind along the river can feel colder than it does at the hotel; rain makes a longer exposed route less attractive.
Visit Seoul’s accessible Banpo course lists elevators, information desks and accessible toilets across Some Sevit and the park. Its route notes also mention small slopes between islands. Check which island or venue you need, where the accessible entrance is, and whether a companion can rest near the planned meeting point before making the whole river walk a group requirement.
Let the next morning choose the hotel base
A Banpo or Seocho base shortens a late river return; a central Seoul base can serve more of the trip. Compare the next morning’s airport or rail route, not only the distance to the island. A river view has less value if the hotel makes an early departure harder.
Keep the plan reversible: one confirmed venue, one optional riverside section and a clear route back. If the programme is cancelled or weather turns, finish the evening near the station rather than extending the walk to rescue a photo.
