Jangheung’s coast, forest and market sit across a county-wide area. Choose one main stop first; add another only when its opening hours and the return leg fit the same day.
Organize the day around fixed hours
- Jeongnamjin Observatory: the coast-led choice for Deukryang Bay views. It opens 09:00–20:00 from March to October and 09:00–19:00 from November to February; the current tourism listing gives an adult ticket as KRW 2,000. It closes on Mondays and may close the day after a public holiday, so check the county notice before travelling.
- Cypress Forest Woodland: a forest and wood-culture visit with a 09:00–18:00 listed schedule. VisitKorea lists adult admission at KRW 3,000; facilities and programmes may have separate terms.
- Jeongnamjin Jangheung Saturday Market: use it for a meal and local shopping. The tourism listing gives 06:00–19:00, while individual shop hours vary; confirm a specific stall if it is the reason for the trip.
Event dates belong in the calendar
For an observatory day, keep the coast as the main stop and leave time for the drive back before the tower closes. For Woodland, put the forest visit inside its daytime window, then eat in town. The market can be a stand-alone town visit or a meal stop on another day; it does not make the more distant forest and coast walkable.
The 2026 Jeongnamjin Water Festival ran from July 25 to August 2, 2026, at Tamjingang River and other county venues. Those dates have passed. Use the official festival page for the next edition’s dates, venue map and program before making a festival-specific trip.
Do not combine distant stops by default
These stops are separate map pins. Verify the road or bus leg between each pair and the final connection back to your base before committing to two areas. The route pages below provide official location and operating details; they do not establish a current bus timetable.
