Araha-ro can mean a canal ride, time around Ara Marina or a short stop on the Han River side. Pick the activity first; the route, access point and return plan depend on which outing you choose.
Start with the mode, not the whole route
For the marina stop, enter 73 Arayuk-ro 270beon-gil, Gochon-eup. Gimpo City lists local buses from Gochon Station and Songjeong, plus route 16-1 from Gaehwa. Check the stop and timetable for your date in the city’s Ara Marina directions.
- Cycle: take one canal section after checking the rental point, bicycle type and return arrangement.
- Marina: stay around the port for a shorter waterside stop or meal.
- Han River edge: use a signed public entrance and keep the visit flexible.
Set the return before the ride
A one-way rental creates a separate return for the rider and bicycle. Confirm the drop-off and your onward trip; do not count on a taxi or operator collecting you at the far end unless arranged. Wind, heat and crossings can change how much distance feels manageable.
For a mixed group, set a nearby meeting point for walkers rather than expecting them to follow the full ride. Keep water and daylight for the way back, and shorten the outing if weather or the surface changes.
Check access at the entrance you will use
Review local notices for path access, crossings, surface, toilets and any facility you plan to rely on. The marina and canal are working waterside spaces: follow public-path signs and stay behind barriers. If access, weather or the return is uncertain, choose the shorter stop.
