Changing hotels during a three-day trip adds checkout, a luggage handoff and another check-in. Judge one base against the arrival evening, the full middle day and the final morning before splitting the stay.
Lay out the three usable time windows
- Arrival evening: Keep dinner and the first base in one area if possible, so the first night does not become another cross-town transfer.
- Full middle day: Give the day to one connected area. Jungang Market and nearby Wolhwa Street suit a town-side evening; Gyeongpo links lake and beach, while Anmok is a separate waterfront coffee stop.
- Final morning: Count the time to the station before choosing where to sleep on the last night, especially if checkout or luggage will compress the morning.
Move bases only when the coast gets a longer block
A second base has a case when the first area serves the arrival night and the coast can then use an afternoon or evening plus the next morning. Moving for one isolated sunset adds a check-out, luggage handoff and check-in without enough time in the second area; keep one room and make the coast a day outing.
The Korea Tourism Organization puts Gyeongpo Beach six kilometres from downtown and describes Anmok Coffee Street as a separate waterfront area. Read Gyeongpo details and Anmok details when choosing the coast.
Keep one room if the group has bulky bags, varied walking speeds or a short departure morning. Check your actual train time with KORAIL before assigning the final night to a coast.
