The Geumho River route in Daegu is not one attraction. Nogok Island is a short seasonal landscape stop; Dongchon is a recreation area; the Buk-gu riverside course links several points over 13 kilometres. Choose one format before planning the return.
Nogok Island for a short flower-season walk
Buk-gu places the alluvial island between Paldal Bridge and Nogok Bridge. Its riverside path is planted with canola in spring and cosmos in autumn; those displays depend on the season and planting. The district's information page also notes weekend crowds, so a weekday or an early visit is easier for an unhurried walk.
Dongchon for activities beside the water
Dongchon Recreation Area is a separate riverside stop in eastern Daegu. Korea Tourism Organization lists water activities and sports facilities there, alongside views from Sunrise Hill and the crossing at Sunrise Bridge. Check which activities are operating before making one the reason for the trip.
Cycle the full course only if the return is planned
Buk-gu's Geumhogang Trail is listed at 13 kilometres and about 90 minutes by bicycle. It runs from Paldal Bridge via Nogok Island, Seobyeon Bridge, Daegu Espas, Sangyeok Bridge and Airport Bridge. That is a linear route: decide where to finish and how to return before setting off.
