Daegu Duryu Park from late afternoon to night: A flexible loop for shade, lights and transit

The most reliable plan is not a map covered in pins. Give the morning one theme, the afternoon one nearby direction, and reserve enough room for dinner and the journey back.

Duryu Park is large enough that an evening works better as one chosen section than a full circuit. Korea Tourism Organization describes a roughly 1.7-million-square-metre park with memorials, sports facilities and paths around Duryusan and Geumbongsan; its listed address is 161 Duryugongwon-ro, Dalseo-gu.

Choose the reason for the stop

For a quiet break, take a short path and turn back toward the entrance you used. For a memorial or sports facility, check that location’s access separately. The park listing says it is open year-round and has four parking areas, but it does not give one schedule for every facility.

Make the exit part of the route

Pick the next destination before you enter: dinner, a transit stop or a confirmed performance at a named venue. Duryu Park adjoins E-World and the Daegu Culture and Arts Center, but each has separate access and hours. Avoid treating the park and those venues as a single ticketed or illuminated attraction.

Festival dates are historical once they pass

The 2026 Daegu Chimac Festival ran July 1–5 in and around Duryu Park and has ended. Those dates describe the 2026 edition, not a future event schedule. For another year, wait for the organizer’s announcement before planning around festival crowds or road access.
