Dongseongno is a central Daegu shopping and pedestrian district, not one venue with a shared opening time. DaeguTour describes a roughly 900-metre section between Daegu Station Intersection and the Dongseongno tourist information centre, with smaller retail alleys branching off it.
For shopping, choose a short list
Clothing, jewellery, cosmetics and food businesses sit among the side streets. Pick a few shops or one category, then check those businesses’ hours and payment details. The tourism listing says opening times vary by store, so an early start or a late visit should be built around specific places.
For a walk, follow the pedestrian section
The district’s transit-priority corridor runs between Banwoldang and Daegu Station. A short loop is easier to manage than crossing the whole downtown repeatedly; use the official route map to choose the station end that fits your next stop.
For culture or dinner, anchor the evening to one confirmed place
Outdoor stages, cinemas, performance venues and food streets give the area more than one reason to visit, but their schedules differ. Confirm a show or venue before travelling, then leave the rest of the street flexible. If you are carrying shopping, place dinner or the next train after the shops rather than adding another cross-city stop.
