Daegu Bongmu and Palgongsan Foothill: A Route for a Quiet Half Day

This half-day plan is for one foothill walk with a clear finish. Choose a path only after checking its current access and your return transport.

This half-day plan starts at Bongmu Park and leaves the exact walking distance to the group. It works as a park-and-foothill outing, not as a Palgongsan summit itinerary.

Reach the park before choosing the walk

Dong-gu Office lists buses 101, 401, 101-1, 501, Dong-gu 8, Buk-gu 2, Palgong 1 and 2, and Express 1 to Bongmu Park stop, then about a 20-minute walk. From Line 1, transfer at the bus stop outside Ayanggyo Station Exit 2. Verify the current timetable and final walk before committing to the route.

Choose one objective and a return deadline

Save a specific path or viewpoint from the current park map and set a turnaround time before leaving. With children or a slower walker, shorten the route and allow the same walk back. Do not extend to a Palgongsan trailhead unless its access and onward transport are confirmed separately.

Let conditions decide the limit

Rain can change footing; heat calls for an earlier start and water, while winter daylight limits how far you should go. If the path, weather or return service is unsuitable, keep the visit to Bongmu Park and leave the longer walk for another day.
