Samaksan Lake Cable Car is a round-trip ride above Uiamho, not a hiking route. Set the visit around the operator’s closing time and the weather: ticketing closes one hour before business ends, and poor conditions can change or suspend service.
Hours and fares vary by month
The operator lists Sunday–Friday/Saturday hours as 09:00–18:00/19:00 from December to February, 09:00–19:00/20:00 in March–April, 09:00–20:00/21:00 from May to October, and 09:00–19:00/20:00 in November. Holiday schedules may differ. Tickets close one hour before the listed business end, and the site warns that weather or other unavoidable conditions can change operation.
Round-trip standard cabins are listed at ₩24,000 for adults and ₩18,000 for children; crystal cabins are ₩28,000 and ₩22,000. The operator defines children as ages 36 months through elementary school and adults as middle-school age and above. Check the live ticket page for eligibility and availability before travelling.
Make the view conditional
If the lake panorama is the main reason to ride, check the weather and visibility near departure. Cloud, rain or wind can reduce the view or affect service. Keep the ride as the day’s main activity and add a nearby meal or city stop only after confirming the return time.
The operator says each cabin holds up to eight and lists a six-person joint-boarding condition. If your party is smaller, confirm the boarding arrangement with the ticket office before purchase. Its notice also excludes wheelchairs and strollers from the promenade and skywalk for safety reasons; do not assume the upper station route is step-free.
