With a large case, assess every handoff: train or airport station, metro connection, exit, crossing, slope and the final entrance. Hotel distance alone does not show how many times you need to lift or roll the bag.
Trace the route you will actually take
For KTX, Busan Station connects to Metro Line 1. For Gimhae Airport, the light rail reaches Sasang, where you can transfer to Line 2 for Seomyeon. Before choosing an area, check whether the walk from the line’s exit to the property is level and whether the entrance is on a steep side street.
Busan Transportation Corporation lists elevators at stations across Lines 1–4, including Busan Station and Seomyeon. That does not confirm a lift at the exact exit you need; use the station map and confirm a step-free street route.

Keep storage as a confirmed backup
Do not assume a hotel will store bags before check-in or after checkout. Ask about the date, hours, bag size and fee. Station lockers can fill up, and early check-in depends on the property. If neither is confirmed, plan to carry the luggage to the booked room or choose a property whose entrance is easy to reach.
For a multi-night stay, balance the simpler arrival against the journeys you will repeat after check-in. A station-side room may save the first transfer; a central base can reduce several later trips.
