Igidae is a cliffside walk with climbs and uneven sections, not a flat waterfront promenade. The official route runs from Dongsaengmal Trail through Global Gathering, Nongbawi Rock and Eoulmadang to Oryukdo Quay: 4.7 km and about 2.5 hours on foot.
Choose a start and finish you can connect
Visit Busan lists a public-transport approach from Kyungsung University/Pukyong National University Station on Line 2. Transfer to Village Bus Nam-gu 2 at the Kyungsung University Entrance stop, get off at Bunpo High School and walk about nine minutes. Check the live bus route and final return before treating Oryukdo as your endpoint.
Full trail or short coast stop
For the full route, start early enough for a measured pace and breaks; the 2.5-hour estimate does not include reaching the start, pauses or the journey away from Oryukdo. If the group wants only the sea view, use a currently accessible viewpoint and turn back before the next steep section instead of improvising a one-way hike.
Use the coast conditions to set the limit
The trail alternates forest, steps and exposed viewpoints. Rain, wind, heat and fading light make the exposed sections harder. Set a turnaround time, carry water and avoid the edge for photographs. If a fixed evening plan leaves little margin, choose a shorter visit.
Return by the route you checked
Do not assume the two ends have identical transport. Confirm the service from Oryukdo Quay or your selected turnaround, including the last useful departure. The official tourism page gives the route outline and approach; check current local notices before hiking.
