The Gadeokdo Lighthouse Experience is available only to applicants who are selected. Build the outing around Oeyangpo and the island’s coastal history unless your visit is confirmed; the lighthouse itself is within a restricted military area.
If you are selected for the lighthouse experience
Visit Busan lists the lighthouse address as 10 Oeyangpo-ro, Gangseo-gu, and access by Metro Line 1 to Hadan, express bus 2000, then Gangseo-gu bus 1 from the Cheonseong IC Dongjung stop; the final walk from Oeyangpo Stop is listed as 39 minutes. See the official experience page for the application and selection details. Do not plan around entering the tower without approval.
Without a confirmed visit, keep the route coastal
Use Oeyangpo Port as the route’s decision point, then choose one nearby public coastal or historical stop listed on Visit Busan’s Gadeokdo guide. The island route covers wartime remains as well as the lighthouse; allow for the extra return leg before adding another district.
Set the return before leaving Hadan
Save the bus stops and outbound/return services before you travel, and decide how far the group will walk from Oeyangpo. A coastal visit can end at the port; it does not need to reach the lighthouse entrance to be complete. Follow local signs and any access restrictions around the lighthouse area.
Choose the day for the group, not the map pin
For a public-transport day, check the full chain from Hadan and the final walk before departure. For a car day, plan the parking and return drive before adding a second viewpoint. If the lighthouse programme is the main reason for going, wait for selection confirmation before booking a day around it.
