The 2026 Busan International Film Festival ran October 6–15 and has ended. The 2026 Busan Biennale remains open through November 1 at three venues across Eulsukdo and Yeongdo. A future combined trip needs both new schedules: these dates do not predict the next edition.

What the 2026 dates mean now

There is no remaining 2026 BIFF screening to combine with a Biennale visit. The Biennale’s final open day is Sunday, November 1; its official schedule lists Tuesday–Sunday opening from 10:00 to 18:00, with earlier entry cutoffs at two venues. Check the current Biennale visit information before choosing a remaining day.

BIFF 2026 took place October 6–15. Its screening venues included Busan Cinema Center and several Centum City theatres, according to the festival’s official overview. That schedule is an archive; future dates and venues need to be confirmed when published.

A four-night frame for a future overlap

For a future year when the events overlap, count usable hours rather than nights. Arrival and departure usually cut into the first and last days. Reserve one full day for a Biennale venue cluster, then place screenings only after checking their theatre, start time and travel gap. Do not place a screening between the Eulsukdo and Yeongdo venues on the assumption that the transfer will be quick.

The 2026 Biennale used the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan on Eulsukdo, plus Space OneZ and the former Busan Nam High School on Yeongdo. Grouping the two Yeongdo venues is a workable day shape; if there is only half a day, pick one cluster. The Biennale venue and hotel-base guide has the final-week access details.

Pick a hotel only after placing the last event

Use the event that ends latest to compare hotel areas. Several Cinema Center evenings may support a Haeundae or Centum City base; repeated Yeongdo evenings can make Nampo more practical. Seomyeon can suit a mixed city itinerary, but the venue list alone does not prove that it shortens each journey. Map the exact hotel, theatre and last transit option against the future programme.

Do not split hotels for a four-night stay unless the second base removes multiple cross-city returns. Checkout, luggage storage and check-in consume time that could otherwise fit an exhibition or screening.
