Andong Hahoe Village and Byeongsanseowon: a Two-Day Autumn Route

Give Hahoe and Byeongsanseowon separate daylight blocks in autumn. Hahoe is a lived-in village with paid entry; the academy is a free second visit with an earlier winter closing schedule. Hahoe hours and admission

Day 1: Hahoe before its seasonal last entry

From October through March, Hahoe opens 09:00–17:00 and last admission is 16:30. Individual admission is KRW 5,000 for adults, KRW 2,500 for teenagers and KRW 1,500 for children. Arrive early enough to walk the village before the gate closes. Check the visitor information

Andong’s current visitor-route page lists bus 210 for Hahoe Village. Check the departure in the city’s bus information system and confirm the return before entering; the English village page may show an older 246 timetable.

Hahoe address: 2-1 Hahoejongga-gil, Pungcheon-myeon, Andong. Keep the walk to signed visitor routes; homes and yards are part of a living village. Andong tourist bus routes

Day 2: Byeongsanseowon and the river-side view

Byeongsanseowon is at 386 Byeongsan-gil. It is free to enter and opens 09:00–18:00 in summer or 09:00–17:00 in winter. The academy’s lecture buildings frame views of Byeongsan Mountain and the Nakdong River; take time to look from Mandaeru rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. Official academy information

Andong’s tourism route lists bus 210 for both Hahoe and Byeongsanseowon. They are separate stops and the published service may not match the sequence you need on a particular day. Check the route direction and last return before planning both in one day. Check the city bus system

What makes the two-day plan useful

The split leaves room for uneven village lanes, the academy grounds and a meal back in Andong without compressing both sites into the earlier October–March closing window. If you only have one day, choose one site by the landscape or architecture you most want to see, then confirm the matching bus.

KriNavi decision card

Keep Hahoe and Byeongsanseowon on separate days unless the current bus timetable gives you a comfortable return.
