Yedangho is a lake-and-evening stop; Sudeoksa is a mountain temple that closes before sunset. Their transfer takes time, so choose the fixed-hour visit first and leave the other as an extension. From Seoul, Yesan County lists direct Sudeoksa-bound departures from Nambu Terminal at 07:00 and 15:00; check the date’s bus and return before building the day around that service.
Use Sudeoksa as the timed visit
Sudeoksa’s Daeungjeon Hall dates to 1308 and is the main reason to allow time for the temple grounds. VisitKorea lists the address as 79 Sudeoksaan-gil and visiting until before sunset. Yesan County’s current fee table lists admission as free for children, teenagers and adults; parking is separate at ₩2,000 for a compact car, ₩4,000 for a small vehicle and ₩8,000 for a large vehicle. Confirm the latest details with the county fee listing or temple visitor page.
The approach is on a mountain slope. Wear shoes suitable for steps and leave time to descend before dark. If taking the Seoul Nambu bus, the county’s transport page labels the 07:00 and 15:00 services as Sudeoksa-bound; verify the return connection separately.
Choose one Yedangho activity
The 402-metre suspension bridge is free. Yesan County lists hours of 09:00–22:00 from March through November and 09:00–20:00 from December through February; it closes on the first Monday of each month, moving the closure to the next weekday when Monday is a holiday. The county’s seasonal table lists fountain shows at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00 and 20:30 Tuesday–Friday from March through November, with an additional 19:00 show on weekends and public holidays. It is normally closed Mondays and may stop in poor weather; check the latest facility notices for schedule changes or temporary closures.
The 1.32-kilometre monorail takes about 22–23 minutes. Its operator currently lists hours of 09:00–18:30 Monday–Thursday (last ticket 18:00), 09:00–19:30 Friday (last ticket 19:00) and 09:00–20:30 on weekends (last ticket 20:00). Yesan County posted the same summer hours on 30 June 2026; check the county schedule notice and the operator’s operation page before travelling, since monthly maintenance or weather can change service. Tickets are sold on site; the operator does not take advance individual bookings. Korea Tourism Organization lists fares of ₩8,000 adult, ₩7,000 teenager, ₩6,000 child and ₩5,000 senior. The suspension bridge and monorail have separate hours and closure rules.
If the temple uses the morning, finish with the bridge or monorail only if the transfer still fits. Check Yesan’s transport options before departure.
