Yangyang Surfing and Naksansa in Two Days: Which Coast Should Lead?

Two days leave room to surf, rinse off and visit Naksansa without squeezing the temple into the lesson window. Fix the class time first, then plan the coast transfer and overnight base around it.

Keep the surf day close to the water

Surfyy lists beginner lesson starts at 10:30, 13:00 and 15:00 in April–June and September–October; July and August use an earlier, expanded schedule. Check the official lesson calendar for the date’s final time, then check in at least 30 minutes early. Leave time after the session to change, eat and pack wet gear. A short Naksan Beach stop works if the return is easy; keep the longer walk for another day.

Use the next day for Naksansa

Naksansa’s listed visitor hours are 06:00–17:30, with visitors asked to leave by 18:30; parking is KRW 4,000. The temple overlooks the East Sea and includes Uisangdae Pavilion and Hongnyeonam Hermitage. Set the visit in daylight and check the current visitor information before departure.

Choose the overnight by the first transfer

A surf-side base keeps the lesson start and wet gear simple; Naksan puts the temple closer for an early visit. Without a car, confirm the actual school, temple entrance and terminal connection. Yangyang’s tourism office lists local bus, taxi and terminal contacts on its transport information page.
