These two Wonju visits suit different plans. At Museum SAN, the basic ticket covers the Outdoor Garden, Paper Museum and Art Museum. At Sogeumsan Grand Valley, the ticket type decides whether the cable car and media art center are included or the visit follows the trekking course.
Museum SAN: galleries with optional timed halls
The current basic adult pass is KRW 23,000 and covers the Outdoor Garden, Paper Museum and Art Museum. The visitor map estimates a 10-minute walk from the Welcome Center to the Main Building, 15 minutes to the Meditation Hall, 20 minutes to James Turrell Hall and 5–10 minutes to GROUND. The special halls require timed reservations; check each hall’s admission and child-entry rules before choosing a pass.
Sogeumsan: choose by the course included
- Cable Car Course: adult KRW 18,000; includes Sogeumsan Media Art Center admission.
- Trekking Course: adult KRW 10,000; cable car is not included.
- Media Art Center only: adult KRW 5,000.
Grand Valley’s route includes a 200 m Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge, a 404 m Ulleong Bridge and a 360 m Cliff Walk. That is a mountain itinerary with exposed structures, not simply an alternative garden stroll. Wonju’s fee page says its listed tariff took effect on 26 February 2025 until a later notice; check current rates, discounts and facility operation before buying.
Museum SAN’s current visiting details are on its visitor page; Wonju posts Grand Valley ticket prices and facility information. For sequencing both places in one day, use the Wonju day-plan guide.
