A measured Uljin day: Seongnyugul Cave and one coast road

Make Seongnyugul the fixed stop, then add one stretch of coast if the cave visit and drive still leave enough daylight. The county lists the Mangyangjeong–Deoksin-ri shoreline as a roughly 20 km road route.

Set the cave visit around its entry cutoff

The cave entrance address is 221 Seongnyugul-ro, Geunnam-myeon. VisitKorea lists these operating details:

ClosuresMondays (or the following day if a public holiday falls on Monday), public holidays, and Seollal and Chuseok holiday periods.
Individual admissionAdults ₩5,000; teenagers ₩3,000; children ₩2,500; age 65 and over ₩1,000; preschoolers free.
Parking and cave routeThe published parking fee is ₩2,000 per day. The cave is about 870 m long; the visitor section is 270 m.

Use the open visitor section as the limit for planning and confirm any temporary access notice before leaving. A late arrival can remove the cave from the day even when the drive itself is short.

Take one coastal road after the cave

The drive starts at Mangyangjeong and heads south to Deoksin-ri along roughly 20 km of coastal road. Keep the stop list short—perhaps a pair of village or viewpoint stops with safe access; the distance describes driving, not a walking trail.

Choose transport before adding stops

A car makes the cave-to-coast sequence easier to shape around remaining daylight. If travelling by bus, check the cave connection, the chosen coast stop and the return service for the same date. The route length does not establish a direct transfer time. Drop the coastal section if cave entry, weather or daylight leaves too little margin.

Check Seongnyugul visitor information and Uljin County’s coastal-drive routes before departure.
