Uiwang Rail Bike at Wangsong Lake: what to decide before booking

Uiwang Rail Park circles Wangsong Lake on a 4.3 km course. It works when everyone can pedal together and make the booked departure; for a slower or mixed-mobility group, plan the lake visit without the ride.

Choose the ride only if the group can pedal

Each bike seats up to four, and the operator says at least two people must pedal. Its posted rules require a guardian for riders under 120 cm, allow one child under 24 months to ride with an adult, exclude pregnant or intoxicated riders, and permit small dogs only in a carrier; larger dogs are not allowed. Check the current rules if any rider needs assistance or has a mobility concern.

The route follows the lake past a flower tunnel, bird habitat and photo areas. Wangsong Lake is also a migratory-bird habitat, so follow the park’s current signs around the water. A ride is a timed lap, not a flexible lakeside stroll; the bird habitat zone is part of the ride course.

Fares and ticketing

The operator’s fare page lists weekday prices of ₩28,000 for a two-seater and ₩36,000 for a four-seater. Weekend and public-holiday fares are ₩35,000 and ₩45,000, with a separate 09:30 early-bird fare of ₩30,000 and ₩40,000. The price is per bike. Check the date-specific reservation page because session availability and fare labels can change.

Online booking closes the day before. The operator allocates part of its tickets to on-site sales, so same-day purchase is possible at the ticket booth, but a place is not guaranteed. Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure; late arrival can cost the reserved slot. The published cancellation terms vary by how many days remain, and rain by itself does not guarantee a refund.

Weather and getting there

The operator says rides generally continue in rain; the bikes have a roof but open sides, so bring a rain layer. Heavy rain, snow, or unsafe wind can stop service, with a date change or refund handled under the operator’s weather notice. Check the live operating notice before travelling rather than relying on a general opening-hours listing.

The address is 209 Wangsongmotdong-ro, Uiwang-si. Use the official map and current transit directions to reach the ticket entrance; the course and nearby paths are around Wangsong Lake, but the station, park entrance and ticket booth are not interchangeable map pins.
