A dusk visit does not need to cover all of Gwanggyo Lake Park. The full circulation route is 6.5 km, made up of a 3 km Woncheon Lake section and a 3.5 km Sindae Lake section. Pick a lakeside stretch and decide where you will turn back before starting.
Set the length before the light fades
The park is open year-round and free to enter. Treat the 6.5 km figure as the complete route, not a short evening lap; a brief walk beside one lake can be the whole outing. If you want both lakes, allow enough time for the longer circuit rather than adding it after dinner.
Match the entrance to your way back
Suwon’s visitor page lists buses 46-1, 47 and 400A from Suwon Station, as well as three paid park car parks. Choose the stop or parking lot for the side you plan to walk, then check the return service before you leave. The park being accessible around the clock does not mean your bus or other onward connection runs all night.
Use the Suwon city park listing for transport and access details, and the Gwanggyo Lake Park official site for current notices.
If the evening is part of a wider Suwon visit, keep the park separate from a Hwaseong walk: the two areas need different return plans. Review the Hwaseong route and choose a base around the next morning’s connection.
