Cheoksan Foot Spa Park is a free outdoor footbath at 277 Gwangwang-ro. It is separate from the paid Cheoksan Hot Spring bathhouse at 288 Gwangwang-ro, which offers full bathing facilities.
Check the seasonal opening before setting out
Sokcho’s tourism page lists the footbath as open from March through November. Its posted hours are 09:00–17:30 in summer and 10:00–17:30 in winter; the same listing says it closes from December through February. Because the winter hours and winter closure overlap in that city notice, check the latest status before making a special trip. The listed entrance fee is free. See Sokcho’s Foot Spa Park notice.
Keep it as a short recovery stop
The public footbath suits a pause after walking around Sokcho or returning from Seoraksan. It is not a full bathhouse visit, and the free park entry does not include a private bathing area. If you want a shower, indoor bath or sauna, use the separate Cheoksan Hot Spring bathhouse listing and check its current admission price and hours.
For the footbath, plan a short stop and leave time to dry your feet, change footwear and continue to dinner or transport. After a strenuous hike, cool down and drink water before using hot water; shorten the visit if you feel faint, overheated or unwell. The foot spa is a simple stop when it is open, not a reason to rush the rest of the day.
