Three generations do not usually need the biggest room; they need more than one way to end the night

Grandparents, parents and children rarely share the same bedtime, nap schedule or morning routine. The scarce resource is often not square metres, but doors you can close without sacrificing the shared living room.

For three generations, count how many people need a bedroom door they can close, then check bathrooms and beds. A five-person booking can still leave one generation sleeping in a shared living room.

Three bedrooms: Orakai Insadong Suites

Orakai’s official Three Bedroom Apartment page lists 98–107 m², three separate bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and two bathrooms, with a king bed and two singles. One detail changes the fit: the third bedroom in the Deluxe layout has no window; the hotel asks guests who need a window in every bedroom to contact reservations. The page also lists an in-room washer/dryer and a baby cot for ages 0–2 on request. Confirm the exact variant and room plan before booking. See Orakai’s current Three Bedroom details.

The two-bedroom versions are not interchangeable either. The official page lists Deluxe at 51–69 m² with one bathroom and Premiere at 96–104 m² with two; both show two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen, while the Deluxe second bedroom has no window. Its bed listing is king plus single. Compare Orakai’s Two Bedroom layouts.

Two bedrooms: Fraser Place Central Seoul

Fraser Place Central lists its Two Bedrooms Deluxe at 81 m² for up to four adults and one child, with one king and one queen bed, a kitchenette and washing machine. Its FAQ separately confirms baby cots for children under two and 24-hour reception and concierge. Capacity does not create a third bedroom: check whether the child’s sleeping arrangement fits your family and the booked product. Room details · property FAQ.

Four beds can still mean one shared sleep zone

Hotel PJ Myeongdong’s Quad is listed as 45–69 m², with four 100 × 200 cm single beds and capacity for four. That is clear bedding for a family of four who share a room comfortably; it does not provide separate bedrooms. The property lists check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00. Check Hotel PJ’s Quad details.

Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun names its Residence Premier Family as a one-bedroom layout with one double bed and one bunk bed, plus a kitchenette, washing machine and workspace. The room title is the key point for three generations: it remains one bedroom even though the living area is separate. See the hotel’s room description.

When two hotel rooms are the better fit

Separate reservations can provide two independent bathrooms, lights, air-conditioning and waking times, but connecting doors or adjacent rooms are never guaranteed by a search filter. Ask the hotel what it can confirm for your dates. Compare the total for both rooms with a residence, including cancellation deadlines and whether one room can be changed without affecting the other.

Choose the base after the floor plan passes. One family room or two rooms, the connecting-room guide and Seoul’s family-hotel guide cover those next decisions. Room size, bedding, capacity and cot availability depend on the exact product and date.

KriNavi decision card

Best use of this page: Three generations do not usually need the biggest room; they need more than one way to end the night

Core judgement: Grandparents, parents and children rarely share one bedtime. Separate sleep zones first, then. Choose by location, room needs and transport trade-offs.
