By car, allow time for parking and loading. By bus, save both the inbound and return service before setting your turnaround point. A Seongsan-area stay keeps a weather change close; Jeju City makes the cape a larger travel block.
Set a walking limit
Set a visible turnaround point and carry water. The group can stay together on the lower route while stronger walkers add a short extension only if the return time remains clear.
Choose the season and start time
Spring can bring fresh grass and changing wind. Summer suits an early or late visit with a break during midday heat. Autumn often has clearer air, but daylight still limits the walk. In winter, finish the exposed section early and dress for wind.
