Grand Hyatt Jeju combines 65 m² rooms, guest pools, on-site dining and 24-hour room service in one large city hotel. LOTTE CITY HOTEL JEJU has smaller rooms and a separately charged outdoor pool. The higher rate only makes sense when you will use the extra room or services.
- Out early and back late: Begin with LOTTE City’s matching room rate. The pools, dining and 65 m² room at Grand Hyatt may not be used enough to support its higher price.
- Plan a full afternoon at the hotel: Grand Hyatt’s larger room, guest pools, dining and 24-hour room service can all fit the same stay.
- Choose mainly for the pool: Compare Grand Hyatt’s guest access with LOTTE City’s listed KRW 12,000-per-person fee and seasonal session limits. Recheck the conditions for your dates.
- Eat around Yeondong or Jeju City: LOTTE City keeps you near those outings without pricing in dining options you do not plan to use.
- Use either hotel for a late final night: Compare room cost and transfer only if check-in is after 21:30 and departure is around 07:00; there may be little time for meals or swimming.
0–1 hour on siteGrand Hyatt: The room is mainly for sleep; pool and dining options may not affect the choice.LOTTE City: Better aligned with a city sleep base; compare the matched-room gap first.
2–4 hoursGrand Hyatt: Room space and on-site dining begin to matter, but pool value still depends on actual use.LOTTE City: If dinner was always outside, the hotel only needs to handle sleep.
5–8 hoursGrand Hyatt: The room, pools and dining all have time to be used.LOTTE City: Pool use costs extra and is gated by month and time; on-site substitutes are fewer.
01Anchor the choice in location, transfers and room space
Both properties are in Jeju City: Grand Hyatt at 12 Noyeon-ro and LOTTE City at 83 Doryeong-ro. Grand Hyatt lists an airport shuttle. Check the actual transfer from each address for your flight time; a short drive does not guarantee the same pickup or waiting time.
A day spent outside Jeju City gives little time to use Grand Hyatt’s restaurants and pools. If you plan to return to the hotel for an afternoon break or dinner, those facilities may replace separate trips back into town.
Grand Hyatt’s entry-level rooms are listed at 65 m²; LOTTE City’s Deluxe rooms at about 30–35 m². That difference matters when you need floor space for children or open luggage. For a room used only to sleep, compare the same bed, view, occupancy and cancellation terms first.
02Test the hotel against your daily schedule
Arrive early and plan to spend an afternoon inside: Grand Hyatt gives you time to use the room and facilities. Check pool hours for your dates.
Leave in the morning and return late: start with LOTTE City’s matched room rate. The extra hotel services may remain unused.
Swimming is the main reason to choose: compare the Grand Hyatt guest entitlement with LOTTE City’s per-person fee and session rules for the exact stay dates.
Check in at 21:30 and leave at 07:00: price both as a room and airport transfer. Do not include a meal or swim that does not fit the schedule.
Grand Hyatt suits a stay with a usable afternoon or evening inside the hotel. LOTTE City suits a city base when most of the day is spent elsewhere. Decide from the room contract and route, then compare the matched total.
03Count pool and dining only when they fit your stay
Pool access changes the total. Grand Hyatt lists guest access to its Indoor and Sky Pools, currently 07:00–23:00. LOTTE City lists a KRW 12,000-per-person outdoor-pool charge, with seasonal and session limits. Confirm the current terms and include fees only for the guests who will swim.
Grand Hyatt’s dining page lists 14 restaurants and bars, with room service available 24 hours. Those options can help if you want to stay on site for dinner or return late; they add little when meals are already planned across Jeju City.

04Confirm the service and pool terms
LOTTE City states that room service is not offered. That may matter for a late meal in the room, but is immaterial if you plan to eat around Yeondong. Compare services you will use rather than paying for a longer list.

05Compare a full hotel evening with matched room rates
A full evening at the hotel makes Grand Hyatt easier to justify: room space, pool access and dining can serve the same block of time. For a city itinerary with meals and activities outside, LOTTE City may leave more of the budget for the trip itself.
Before comparing nightly prices, enter the same dates and guest ages, then match the room, view, breakfast, pool access, cancellation deadline and taxes. A lower rate for a different room or occupancy is not a like-for-like total.
| Matched decision field | Grand Hyatt Jeju | LOTTE CITY HOTEL JEJU | How to count final value |

06Match the room and included services
Grand Hyatt Jeju
LOTTE CITY HOTEL JEJU
- Confirm the hotel and property number: Grand Hyatt Jeju 64242246; LOTTE CITY HOTEL JEJU 1385458.
- Enter every adult and child, using the actual ages. A two-person headline rate does not price a family room.
- Select the same view category at both hotels before comparing prices.
- If choosing a Grand Hyatt Club rate, check that breakfast and Club access are included in that exact rate.
- If you expect to swim at LOTTE City, confirm the pool month, session, child rules and latest fee.
- Estimate the hours you will actually be at the hotel; count no value for a pool, restaurant or room space you will not use.
- Compare the tax-inclusive total, cancellation deadline, payment currency and deposit terms.
07Choose by how much time you will spend at the hotel
Choose Grand Hyatt if the 65 m² room, pools or on-site meals solve a specific need during your stay. Match the selected room and included services before deciding whether the premium is useful.
Choose LOTTE City if you mainly need a room near Jeju City activities and will spend little time at the hotel. Add the pool only if you expect to use it.
If you have not decided whether Jeju City should be your base, return to how to choose where to stay in Jeju City. If the real question is the flight day, continue with Jeju Airport to your hotel.
