GoldOne Hotel & Suites vs The Grand Sumorum: do you want private water that survives a late return, or several pools that can back each other up?

Short answer: GoldOne puts a Jacuzzi in the selected room; The Grand Sumorum has several shared pools, including an indoor option. Choose by the hours you will actually be at the hotel and the room capacity your group needs.

Decide whether you need private soaking or swim time

GoldOne’s Ocean View Family Twin is listed for three guests, with a maximum of four, and includes an in-room Jacuzzi. Its shared heated infinity pool is a separate facility. On the current facility page, the pool hours are 10:00–22:00; a scheduled maintenance closure is listed for 4 January–18 March 2027. A late arrival can still use a room Jacuzzi if the selected category includes it, while the shared pool closes at night and during the announced maintenance period.

The Grand Sumorum’s pools do not share one schedule

The Garden Pool is in the main building. The Grand Infinity Pool and its heated Jacuzzi, plus the indoor pool, are in the annex. The official schedules list the Garden Pool and Grand Infinity Pool at 08:00–18:00, the Jacuzzi at 08:00–20:00, and the indoor pool at 09:00–20:00. Outdoor hours may move with weather or sunset. The indoor pool’s regular monthly closure is the first Monday, subject to hotel changes.

That indoor option helps when outdoor swimming is not practical, but it does not make every date equally useful: check the closure and operating notices for your stay, and remember that pool access is for hotel guests.

Four people need the right room category

The Grand Sumorum’s Family Twin is not the four-person equivalent of GoldOne’s Family Twin. For four guests, compare the Premier Twin or another room whose maximum matches your party; confirm child ages and the selected rate before paying.

Location changes the transfer, not the pool rules

GoldOne is at 1032 Ieodo-ro, Seogwipo; The Grand Sumorum is at 118 Maksukpo-ro, Seogwipo. They are different addresses, so map each hotel against your planned coast visits and transport before choosing. Do not assume that a shared city label makes transfers interchangeable.

GoldOne is the clearer fit when a private in-room Jacuzzi matters and your chosen category includes one. The Grand Sumorum has the wider pool mix if the group can use its different schedules. Compare the exact room, occupancy, breakfast coverage, cancellation and total price for the same dates; skip a water feature you will not have time to use.
