Garden of Morning Calm by Day or for Winter Lights?

A daylight garden visit is paced around planting and paths. The winter illumination is an evening event with a later closing time and a return trip in the dark; it is not simply an extension of the same route.

For a daytime garden walk

The official site lists regular hours of 08:30–19:00, with last entry one hour before closing. Individual admission is ₩11,000 for adults, ₩8,500 for teenagers and ₩7,500 for children. Choose a few themed areas from the garden map and keep the route short enough to leave before the last bus.

For winter lights

The Garden of Morning Calm’s annual light event runs across the winter season, but dates and hours change by year. VisitKorea’s last listed edition ran from December 5, 2025 to March 15, 2026, with lights scheduled 17:00–21:00 and Saturday hours to 23:00. The KTO listing gave that edition prices of KRW 11,000 for adults, KRW 8,500 for teenagers and KRW 7,500 for children. Those dates have passed; check the operator’s current event notice before planning a new visit.

Do not assume the regular garden timetable is the evening-event timetable. Confirm event admission, last entry and the final bus or taxi pickup before choosing a late visit.

Use Cheongpyeong as the transfer point

The operator lists bus 30-6 from Cheongpyeong Station and Terminal. Its published timetable includes the return from the garden; check the current service against the event closing time. Address: 432 Sumogwon-ro, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.

Check the operator’s current garden and event notices, then confirm directions and bus times.
