Badabuchae-gil is a 2.86-kilometre one-way coastal walk, so the first decision is which ticket office to start from and how to leave the opposite end.
Pick an entrance and secure the return
The route runs from the Jeongdongjin Sun Cruise parking area to Simgok Port. KTO lists four parking lots around Jeongdong and two at Simgok; parking does not make the walk circular, so arrange a pickup, local transfer or a return connection before entry. The Simgok ticket office number is +82-33-641-9445; Jeongdong ticket office is +82-33-641-9444.
Operating hours are 09:00–17:30 in April–October and 09:00–16:30 in November–March, with last admission one hour before closing. Weather, military use or maintenance can close the trail. Check the operator notice and KTO’s access details before departure.
Allow extra time for steps and exposed sections. If the group needs an easy return, use a short open viewpoint instead of entering the full route. Keep other Gangneung stops optional until the finish-side transport is confirmed.
