Use the first clear waterfront section as a turn-back point. The walk stays flexible, and you can return toward the station or continue only if everyone still has energy.
Set the limit before you start
Suseongmot’s full circuit is about 2,020 metres, but the public lake does not require a full lap. Pick a return point near the entrance you used, and agree where to meet if the group moves at different speeds. The official visitor listing describes the public area as open around the clock; nearby services keep their own schedules. Suseongmot visitor information.
In heat, go later and shorten the exposed stretch
The lakeside is an outdoor route. On a hot day, avoid making the midday circuit your fixed plan, carry water and turn back before anyone is uncomfortable. After rain, wet surfaces can slow the walk. A café or early meal near the route is a better fallback than trying to finish the loop in worsening weather.
Keep the return simple
Suseongmot Station is on Daegu Metro Line 3. The district lists MOTII visitor information centre about ten minutes on foot from the station; the shoreline point you choose will change the walk. Check the current centre hours and route if you need its desk or facilities.
A fountain or boat should remain optional. Confirm its operation separately before travelling for it; the current official information does not establish a dependable show time.
