Visit the UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan

The visit is easiest to plan around the cemetery’s own hours and the walk from Daeyeon Station. Keep the memorial grounds as the main stop, then decide whether another museum fits the day.

The United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK) is a place of remembrance. It is open every day, with seasonal closing times, and entry is free.

Hours, entry and location

The cemetery is at 93 UN Pyeonghwa-ro, Nam-gu, Busan. UNMCK lists hours of 09:00–17:00 from October through April and 09:00–18:00 from May through September. Admission is free. Check the official notice before travelling for ceremony arrangements or temporary changes.

Getting there

From Daeyeon Station on Metro Line 2, leave through Exit 3 and allow about a 15-minute walk, as listed by UNMCK. Bus 68 runs from Seomyeon and Bus 134 from Busan Station to the cemetery stop. Visit Busan also lists buses 138, 138-1 and 1006 for the nearby UN Peace Park / Busan Cultural Center stop; check the live route and stop name before boarding.

Keep the visit respectful

Allow time to read the memorial interpretation and move through the grounds without rushing. Food is not allowed inside the cemetery; the adjacent parks are the designated place to eat. Personal photography is permitted, while commercial photography is not. Keep to visitor routes and follow staff directions, especially during ceremonies.

What to pair with the cemetery

The UN Sculpture Park is within the cemetery grounds. If you want another history stop, check the opening hours and Monday closure of the UN Peace Memorial Hall or Busan Museum first. These are separate visits, so leave time for the transfer and the return to your next destination.
