The Express Train runs directly between Incheon Airport Terminals 1 and 2 and Seoul Station. It does not take you to Hongdae, Myeongdong or your hotel door; add the onward transfer before comparing it with an airport bus or the all-stop train.
When booking ahead helps
A reserved departure can suit a settled arrival plan, a Seoul Station hotel or a KTX connection. Check the selected train’s change, cancellation and boarding rules before paying, and leave time for immigration, baggage collection and the walk to the airport station.
When waiting keeps the plan flexible
If the flight may be delayed, the group has checked luggage, or you have not decided where to stay, choose after landing. Compare the next available Express departure with the all-stop train and airport buses; your destination and remaining operating hours matter more than the scheduled landing time.
Check your travel date
AREX revised its timetable on 23 October 2026 and added four daily Express services. Older screenshots and fixed interval claims can be wrong, so confirm the departure for your date and current fare before paying.
Open the official AREX Express booking and fare page for availability and ticket rules.
Read the operator’s latest timetable update notice for the service change.
Prebook when your arrival has enough slack and Seoul Station fits the next leg. Keep the choice flexible when landing time, onward route or companions make that arrival uncertain.
